The devil doesn't bother bad people...
Here at the Lauver household this morning, my delightful husband Christopher and a true friend, Shawn Facklam, are jackhammering up the concrete floor in our front room and kitchen because we have a rotted sewer line beneath. It's very ugly (and smells hideous). There's a 2' by an as-of-yet-undetermined length by 2' deep trench running the length from the kitchen thru the front room and still going. They are now at the sliding glass door and hammering up the patio. The good news is that the patio only extends out another 12' so it can't be that much further with the jackhammer. The bad news is that the main is about another 40' or so. It's a big ol' fat drag. :o(
Sometimes when things like this happen you think, "Why does this happen to me? I'm a good person." In the wise words of Fr. Corapi - "The devil doesn't bother bad people - they're already on his side - he'd rather go after you."
